Meet the ReelReactor™ Team

Mike Gordon

Founder, CEO, Engineer, ReelReactor™ Inventor

Michael Gordon is the founder, CEO, and inventor of ReelReactor™. He holds a B.S. in mechanical engineering and began his career as a nuclear refueling engineer for the Department of Defense’s submarine program at the Puget Sound Naval Shipyard in Bremerton, WA. There, he directed radiological work on submarines and designed tools to improve the nuclear refueling process.

In 2013, Michael relocated to San Diego to focus on biotech innovation. He joined Invetech, an Australian engineering firm, where he specialized in inventing diagnostic instruments, medical devices, consumer products, and automation systems.

In 2017, he became an innovative engineering consultant. His work in the cell and gene therapy field included both autologous and allogeneic therapies, notably CAR-T cell therapy for cancer treatment.

Michael played a key role in developing the core technology for Thermo Fisher Scientific’s Xenon and DynaCellect devices, which are used for cell isolation, activation, and gene editing. His involvement spanned from concept to product launch.

To deepen his understanding of biological manufacturing workflows, he spent nearly six years in a BSL-2 laboratory creating CAR-T cells from donor blood, gaining valuable insights into the challenges of cell and gene therapy manufacturing.

As a named inventor on over 12 biotech patents, Michael’s passion lies in inventing and commercializing technologies that can revolutionize the manufacturing of life-saving therapies.

Eric Warner
